A close-up look at the world of Australian spiders, including the trapdoor spider, and the red-back spider. Researcher and presenter Densey Clyne combines fascinating information, whimsical observances and extraordinary footage to make spider watching a joy.

The documentary successfully provides information with an accessible story line. There are also well made dramatic sequences, and astonishing close-up shots of spiders.

The cinematographer–director Jim Frazier patented a revolutionary lens that can hold subjects in focus from the front of the lens to infinity. It is now used throughout the world.
