Curator’s clip description

At a car accident scene, Georgia Rattray (Sonia Todd) finds herself having to make a decision about whether to move a car that might crush an injured passenger who is a known drug dealer, or first save the injured driver, a police officer.

Curator’s notes

The moral dilemmas keep the story lines of Police Rescue more interesting than the usual run of police dramas. This episode asks if a person of good moral character is worth saving more than someone who’s less worthy? In the end the dilemma is diverted when the good cop is found to in fact have been a rogue cop.

The tight camera work and panning in close-up with characters constantly on the move was still relatively new in 1990, and added to the dramatic tension, making it more compelling to watch.
