Synopsis

A compilation of events concerning the moratorium to stop the Vietnam War in 1970. The film is an observational documentary without commentary that cuts between meetings, street protests, public speeches and concerts, and uses audio from a range of sources.

Curator’s notes

Presented without any editorialising, the film gives a great sense of the range, scale and passion of the growing opposition to the war. One hundred and thirty-two filmmakers, including some of the best known directors and producers of the time, are credited with the production of this documentary. There are no individual credits for specific crew roles. The film is in monochrome.
