Curator’s clip description

A glowing campfire in the desert night. A voice-over tells us why we are here, in the desert, with elder and younger women only. It is women’s business, the lore of love.

Curator’s notes

A meeting of Indigenous women’s ancient cultural practice and the next generation’s contemporary needs and issues. The elders – two Nanna’s who shared the same husband – are here to teach their granddaughters the old ways of seduction. A wonderful introduction for those unfamiliar with the traditional treatment of love, and a refreshing injection of emotion into the Indigenous cultural subject.
