Synopsis
A biography of Australian actress Ruth Cracknell (1926–2002). Cracknell started in radio then moved to live theatre before becoming a household name in film and television. She is best known for her role as Maggie Beare in Mother and Son, a sitcom written by Geoffrey Atherden that ran for 10 years on ABC television. The documentary features the actress in a range of performances. Her directors and fellow actors comment on her life and work.
