Synopsis
Produced one year after the terrorist bombing of a nightclub in Bali, the film examines the impact on the Balinese and their recollection of the event. The film interviews victims, their families and those who have assisted in the recovery. It also looks at the Balinese religious response to the disaster and gives an insight into the Balinese way of approaching life.
Curator’s notes
The documentary was produced and directed by John Darling who understands the language and has a good knowledge of Bali and its people. He uses an observational style without commentary.
