Curator’s clip description

Warren Blair, son of Aboriginal tenor Harold Blair, recalls being taunted about his Aboriginality at school. Harold advised Warren to fight the taunter, which he did, resulting in the school calling in his parents. Harold sings to his son and daughter as they go to bed, then is seen performing on stage in Melbourne.

Curator’s notes

The footage of Blair singing unaccompanied to his children is charming, and the cut to him performing the same song on stage is very effective.
