Curator’s clip description

Tasmanian Neil Davis recalls how he went to Vietnam as a cameraman and correspondent in 1964 at the start of the war, and remained there for all the war, working for Visnews. He talks about his first experience under fire, and we see some of his remarkable footage from the middle of a battlefield.

Curator’s notes

Neil Davis became known for his remarkable front-line cinematography. He captured some of the most memorable images of the war, some great examples seen here in this clip.
