The Business of Making Saints (1994)

Documentary

Length: 54 minutes 40 seconds

Curator’s notes

Pope John Paul II beatified and canonised more people than any of his predecessors in the 20th century. The film was made when the new pope was breaking with more conservative tradition. The film is both informative and entertaining in that the tone is, at times, lightly satirical and serious when appropriate.
