Curator’s clip description

This clip is part three in the serialised Bushells tea cinema advertisement and shows a woman visiting her girlfriend and new husband at their home in Sydney. They share a cup of tea out on the verandah and reminisce about the time Margaux read her girlfriend’s tea-leaves. Margaux is asked what tea it was and she shows the couple the Bushells tea factory at Circular Quay through binoculars. The couple vow to always drink Bushells tea ‘forever and ever’.

Curator’s notes

This is the third and final part of a silent, black-and-white Bushells tea cinema advertisement from 1929. Being silent, intertitles are used to set the scene and present the dialogue between the characters. This clip concludes the story with the central characters vowing to always drink Bushells tea.
