Curator’s clip description

Journalist William Nessen is filming with the Acehnese rebels and is nearly killed. He decided to surrender to the Indonesian army.

Curator’s notes

Astonishing footage from within firefights, as the journalist travels with the independence fighters. This was one of the first really dramatic uses of the new lightweight broadcast quality video cameras.
