Curator’s clip description

The Dulhuntys are going about their evening chores after a day on the lake.

Curator’s notes

The filmmakers have effectively captured the character of these intrepid Australians quietly getting on with their vital research and living on Lake Eyre, which in itself is no mean feat.

The recreation footage of Mr and Mrs Dulhunty on the perfectly flat, perfectly empty landscape of Lake Eyre is effectively shot, and then the sudden revelation that Mrs Dulhunty has recently has recently had a heart attack but still chooses to live in this remote area is very dramatic.
