Curator’s clip description
The car has broken down in the desert. The three take refuge in an abandoned shearing shed. Trevor (David Argue), who’s attracted to both women, has invited Kath (Lydia Miller) to join him for a swim in the dam. Nikki finds a stockwhip in the shearing shed. Kath and Trevor talk about the allegations made against him when he was in the drug squad.
Curator’s notes
An interesting scene for the way it shows the changes all three are experiencing, being freed from their appointed roles. Trevor is no longer boss, Kath is no longer prisoner, and Nikki – who never really was much of a cop – is a whip-wielding woman with a lot of anger issues – possibly because Trevor didn’t ask her to go for a swim.
