This 1985 video press release explains E-Post, a new service offered by Australia Post.

Curator’s notes

At the time of this video news release the old telegram service was being replaced by the lettergram service. Telegram used teleprinter technology, an electro-mechanical technology commonly known as teletype or telex machines, to deliver messages rapidly from one post office to another. With the evolution of electronic technology, Australia Post combined the two technologies of email and fax to offer the same urgent message service to its general public customers.
